Al-Azhar strongly reaffirms the earnest endeavors of the Egyptian leadership and institutions to combat terrorism and eliminate the armed terrorist organizations, which aim to foment chaos and disturb the national security and stability. In this respect, Al-Azhar calls for coordinating all international efforts to come together and work concertedly.

His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar reaffirms Al-Azhar firm determination to confront the extremist and terrorist ideologies in full coordination with the international peace-making efforts. His Eminence asserts his support of the current sincere endeavors exerted by the political leadership in Egypt to rescue the lives of the innocent people from that black terrorism, which poses a threat to the entire world, as no particular region is safe from it.

Al-Azhar, in its capacity as the first and foremost religious authority and reference for all Muslims worldwide, has developed a well-defined scientific and intellectual strategy to combat and siege extremism and enlighten youth on the dangers of bloody messages promoted by terrorist groups and organizations. Actually, they distort the true image of Muslims and Islam. Al-Azhar carries out such mission through a set of various activities, institutions, and scholars, who are dedicated to promoting the right religious teachings and enhancing the culture of tolerance, coexistence, and peace worldwide.

Al-Azhar Al-Sharif calls upon the great Egyptian people to support the government and institution in their efforts to combat terrorism.
