Al-Azhar Supreme Council of Senior Scholars declares that all the measures taken by the Zionist occupation authorities in al-Quds Sanctuary are null and void and are not based on any human or civilized principle. Therefore, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif on behalf of 1.7 billion Muslims all over the world rejects such irresponsible and provocative actions that the Zionist occupation commits in defiance of all international resolutions.
It reminds that Al-Quds Al-Sharif and Al-Aqsa Mosque, which Allah has blessed and blessed its neighboring lands as the Holy Quran states is the first of the two Qiblas (Direction of Salah) and the third of the two Haram (sacred) mosques. Al-Azhar highly appreciates the solidarity of the churches with the mosques in the occupied territories and their raising of the Adhan (call for prayer) from their minarets after the minarets of mosques were silenced and banned. It is a triumph for spiritual values and the principles of good neighborliness and mutual respect among believers in heavenly religions.
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif has decided to hold a world conference about Jerusalem in late September, God willing, to discuss the important decisions on the Palestinian issue, preceded by communication with relevant institutions and bodies. Al-Azhar does not forget to remind everyone of the gloomy consequences of the arrogant. Allah may give the arrogant a chance to repent but never neglects their punishment. The Quds and Jerusalem will remain in the heart of all Muslims and will always represent their first cause.
