The Grand Imam Dr. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Sheikh Al-Azhar received H.E. Muhammad Saleh Al-zweikh, the new Kuwaiti ambassador to Egypt.
His eminence the Grand Imam welcomed H.E. the Kuwaiti ambassador at Al-Azhar and congratulated him on his new post in Cairo, wishing him all the success.
His eminence emphasized the depth of the historic ties between Al-Azhar and the sister nation of Kuwait, commending the efforts of H.H. the Emir of Kuwait in supporting Arab solidarity, and for his human stances which made Kuwait a center for humanitarian work.
On his part, the Kuwaiti ambassador expressed his appreciation of the role played by Al-Azhar in promoting moderate Muslim thought, and embracing Muslim students from all over the world to study at the various faculties and institutes of Al-Azhar. H.E. the ambassador also commended the efforts of his eminence the Grand Imam in supporting and establishing peace, dialogue and tolerance among the various peoples and nations.
