Caliphate will be revived once again

Caliphate will be revived once again

Misconception:

Caliphate will be revived once again; Muslim must strive to give it life even if they resort to blood-shedding and violating the innocent people's protected lives.

Reply:
  • The Hadith cited by ISIS as evidence has actually been narrated in Imam Ahmed's Musnad and in Imam al-Tayalisi's Musnad; it is reported that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The Prophethood will remain amongst you for as long as Allah wills it to be. Then Allah will raise it when He wills to raise it. Then there will be the khilaafah upon the Prophetic methodology. And it will last for as long as Allah wills it to last. Then Allah will raise it when He wills to raise it. Then there will be biting kingship, and it will remain for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then Allah will raise it when He wills to raise it. Then there will be tyrannical (forceful) kingship and it will remain for as long as Allah wills it to remain. Then He will raise it when He wills to raise it. Then there will be a khilaafah upon the Prophetic methodology. Then, he (PBUH) was silent."
  • Scholars of Hadith firmly believe that the next caliphate under the Prophetic methodology will take place at end of time when Jesus, son of Marry descends from the heavens and when the awaited Mahdi appears.
  • The Hadith doesn’t imply commands or prohibitions, that is, it does not imply any legal rulings; rather, it is just a statement meant to inform us of something that will happen. So, whoever assumes that he has established caliphate in fulfillment of the divine Order, let him answer the following question, "Where did Allah commission him to do that? And on what basis did he understand this obligation?" He must put answer to these two questions; otherwise, he will be judged a liar and imposter who understands the legal texts out of their proper contexts.
  • Terrorist ISIS did not establish its so-called caliphate on the Prophetic methodology; rather, it founded its rule on brutality and violence; it does not pay attention at all to anybody, neither does it show mercy to the weak and the old. It even does not follow the Prophetic methodology as to their opponents. It rather adopted the policy of Takfir (declaring Muslims unbelievers) prohibited by the Prophet (PBUH) who said, " Do not revert to disbelief after me by striking (cutting) the necks of one another." This Hadith is one of the miraculous statements that clearly indicate the truthfulness of his (PBUH) prophethood, for it is crystal clear now how the Muslim Groups declare Muslims unbelievers and kill them. Then, divisions will take place within the one group, to the extent that they will eventually fight against each other.
