On Wednesday, His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmed Aṭ-Ṭayyeb, received Dr. Khalifa Babakr Al Hassan, Head of the Islamic Law Department, Faculty of Law, Khartoum University.

     During the meeting, Dr. Khalifa expressed the aspiration of the Sudanese Universities in general and Khartoum University in particular to benefit from the great scientific potentials of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, asking for increasing the academic missions and enhancing the historical role of Al-Azhar in the Sudan.

     On his part, His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar welcomed Dr. Khalifa, and expressed the readiness of Al-Azhar to cooperate fully with the Sudanese universities in all fields. He also stated the readiness of Al-Azhar to increase the number of scholarships offered to students of Sudan in all domains.
