On Tuesday noon, April 23, 2019, His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Prof. Ahmed Aṭ-Ṭayyeb received a delegation from Ras Al-Khaimah University for Medicine and Health Sciences, headed by Dr. Yasser Al-Nuaimi, representing Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, the United Arab Emirates.

     Dr. Nasser Al-Nuaimi conveyed to the Grand Imam the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and expressed his great appreciation of Al-Azhar's scientific and missionary role and efforts in promoting peace and coexistence.

     The delegation also expressed its wish to cooperate with Al-Azhar University and benefit from its long-standing medical experience. He pointed out that Al-Azhar, with its medical colleges and university hospitals serving millions of patients, is a fertile field for training medical students in various specialties.

     On his part, the Grand Imam stressed the readiness of Al-Azhar to cooperate with the University of Ras Al-Khaimah and to provide scientific and practical support to its students. He thanked His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and the United Arab Emirates for their appreciation and permanent cooperation with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.
