His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmed Aṭ-Ṭayyeb, received Mr. Chinarong Kerateutong, Ambassador of Thailand in Cairo today.

     Kerateutong thanked the Grand Imam for his patronage of the students of Thailand studying in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and his follow-up with the case of a Thai student who was injured in an accident outside the university till he recovered. He expressed his country's aspiration for further cooperation with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in various scientific and missionary fields, praising Al-Azhar's efforts and its pioneering role in spreading the values ​​of peace and social coexistence.

     On his part, the Grand Imam said that what Al-Azhar is doing towards the students of Thailand and all the international students is only a part of the duty and responsibility entrusted to it towards the Muslim students, expressing appreciation of the great cooperation of Thailand with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.
