In a telephone call, the Grand Imam congratulates Dr. Magdi Yaqoub on receiving Muhammad bin Rashid Honorary Scarf for Humanitarian Work

     H.E. the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmed Aṭ-Ṭayyeb, made a phone call with Dr. Magdi Yaqoub, the world heart surgeon, to congratulate him on receiving Muhammad bin Rashid Honorary Scarf for Humanitarian Work, during the celebration of the Hope Makers Initiative in the United Arab Emirates.

     The Grand Imam expressed his gladness with what Dr. Magdi Yaqoub has achieved, at the local, regional and international levels. He stressed that Dr Yaqoub is setting an example of altruism, giving priority to the interests of heart patients, adults and children, adding that he represents an example of patriotic service of the people of his country, and a source of pride for each Egyptian and Arab citizen.
