Kazakhstani Ambassador delivers a message from the President of Kazakhstan to the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar.
Today, His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, Prof. Ahmed At-Tayyeb, received Arman Esagaliev, the ambassador of Kazakhstan to Cairo.
His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al Azhar said that Al-Azhar is proud of its relationships with the countries of Central Asia, appreciating their keenness to benefit from Al-Azhar curriculums, and send their students to study at Al-Azhar. This stems from their belief in the importance of Al-Azhar's mission to promote fraternity among people and confront any extremist or racist discourse. The Grand Imam asserted that Al-Azhar spares no effort in promoting the tolerance of Islam, supporting and qualifying the students to protect the security and stability of their societies.

On his part, the ambassador of Kazakhstan conveyed the greetings of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Nur Sultan Nazarbayev, the current and former presidents of Kazakhstan, to the Grand Imam for his prominent role in promoting world peace. They praised the role of Al-Azhar in supporting the moderation of Islam, and thanked the Grand Imam for providing training opportunities for Kazakhstani Muslim cadres at Al-Azhar University and Al-Azhar International Academy for Training Imams, Preachers and Fatwa Researchers, and for qualifying and empowering them via the moderate curriculums of Al Azhar.
Ambassador Arman Esagaliev stated that Kazakhstan is preparing to launch the Encyclopedia of Imam Al-Farabi Works in an international conference to be held next year and to make a documentary video on Al-Farabi's scientific journey in four countries, namely Syria, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Egypt, the places where he spent most of his life, forming great evidence to his scientific career.
