The Grand Imam honors distinguished and innovative affiliates of Al-Azhar and affirms his support for creativity and innovation

     Today, Saturday, at Al-Azhar Headquarters, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif, Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb honored a group of distinguished and innovative students and employees of Al-Azhar, whose excellence and innovations varied in the fields of agriculture, environmental protection, drawing, karate and religious chanting, in addition to their memorization of the Noble Qur’an.

     The Grand Imam decided to allocate a financial reward for each innovator, expressing his happiness to meet these honorable figures, and his appreciation for their efforts, thoughts and creativity that make them distinguished and superior. His Eminence the Grand Imam also stressed that Al-Azhar is a mine for innovation and innovators, and "we have founded Al-Azhar Office for Support of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in order to discover such bright and honorable talents." He also asserted that Al-Azhar students always have top ranking places, and "we will not lag in supporting them and provide them with all means towards excellence."

     For their part, the innovative and distinguished students and employees of Al-Azhar expressed their great happiness to meet the Grand Imam and to receive such appreciation. They noted that this meeting represents a crown of honor for them and a strong moral boost. They also added that dedicating such a lengthy time for them with the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar ensures the Grand Imam's belief in the significance of innovation as a means to provide a bright image of Al-Azhar and sustain homeland in a way that contributes to its progress and elevation.
