My husband divorced me twice separately, and then I married another man after the ˁIddah (a waiting period before a woman can remarry). Our marriage continued until my new husband died. Now, that my ˁIddah has expired, my first husband wants to marry me again. As a married couple, how many divorces are we allowed by the Sharia?

The answer:

     If a husband divorced his wife, and she married someone else, then her new husband died or divorced her, and the first husband remarried her, he could divorce her up to three times.
