I receive treatment because my head was injured, and the doctor advised me not to wash my head with water. Now, I have had sexual intercourse with my wife. How can I perform ghusl (have a ritual bath)?

     Performing ghusl because of janabah (ritual impurity) is obligatory, and it involves pouring water over the whole body. If someone’s head or any part of his body is injured and the doctor advises him not to wash this part with water, he should follow the doctor’s advice. Therefore, he should wash the rest of the body and perform tayammum for the injured part only.
