Biography of Secretary General of Islamic Research Academy
Prof. Naẓīr Muḥammad Muḥammad Naẓīr, Secretary General of the Islamic Research Academy, Professor of Creed and Philosophy and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies for Girls in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate.
Nazir obtained the bachelor of the Fundamentals of Religion in Creed and Philosophy in May 1995. Thereafter, he proceeded in his scientific journey and obtained master's degree of the Fundamentals of Religion in Creed and Philosophy in 2000, and then PhD with First Class Honors in 2003.
Nazir moved up the academic ladder. He worked as a teaching assistant, then as an assistant lecturer, then as a lecturer, and he then served as an associate professor at the Faculty of the Fundamentals of Religion, in Mansoura. Thereafter, he moved to the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies for Girls in Kafr Al-Sheikh and held the position of associate professor in the department of Creed and Philosophy. He then obtained the professorship degree in 2016.
Furthermore, he was engaged in many other tasks and activities, including his membership in the World Association for Al-Azhar Graduates, his membership in the Union Committee of Scientific Research Staff in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, his membership in the Egyptian Family House, and his membership in the Environment Protection and Addiction Control Team at the Ministry of Youth.
These activities did not keep him away from scientific contributions. Nazir has enriched the scientific journals with more than thirty works in the fields of theology, philosophy, logic, sects, doctrines, religions, mysticism, among other sciences and fields.
He also attended several scientific conferences and forums inside and outside Egypt. Moreover, he taught at some abroad universities in Libya and Saudi Arabia, and discussed and supervised about 35 master's and doctoral dissertations.Nazir received many awards and certificates in the scientific field inside Egypt and abroad. He has been honored by Al-Azhar University, October 6 University, Al Asmarya University in Libya, Taif University in Saudi Arabia and the Egyptian Consulate in Jeddah.
