Theology Plays Important Role In Preserving Religion and Exchanging Cultures, AIRA Secretary General in TV Program

     Secretary General of the Islamic Research Academy (AIRA), Dr. Nazir Ayyad said that theology is one of the most significant and esteemed sciences, since it talks about Allah, exalted be He, His Attributes and His Actions. This science also deals with Prophethood, the Prophet’s message, and matters related to the Day of Resurrection. Mainly, it revolves around the six pillars of faith.

     In his program, “Towards a Proper Understanding” the Secretary-General added that while this science deals with the pillars of faith, a group of people object to it, claiming that it has no basis in the Holy Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah. On the contrary, fair researchers consider it one of the most important sciences of Islam.

     In this concern, Ayyad also showed that theology is considered the law that governs other sciences, and the tool, which leads to cultural interaction between Muslims and non-Muslims. Theology is the transmitter of Islamic culture, the recipient of foreign cultures, and it works to purify and transmit them perfectly.

     Finally, the Secretary-General pointed out that theology has a great importance in preserving religion, and its noble goal is to help people find happiness in this world, when monotheism is achieved properly, and in the hereafter, when they enter Paradise as a reward for the deeds they performed for the sake of Allah Almighty.
