Atheistic Thought: Lack of Spiritual Aspect and Predomination of Matter Made Man Captive to His Desires, Said AIRA Secretary General

     In the 15th episode of his program “Toward Proper Understanding”, AIRA Secretary-General, Dr. Nazir Ayyad keeps on refuting some fallacies by which some atheists deny the existence of Allah Almighty. He discussed the bad effects of atheistic thought on society.

     The Secretary-General said atheism is a dangerous phenomenon that negatively affects the person and the society in many ways, the most important of which are anxiety and the psychological conflict that affects the atheist.

     Atheism is a belief that imposes some unanswerable questions on the person who adopts it, leading him to more anxiety and turmoil.

     In this concern, Ayyad added that the second effect of atheistic thought is that it eliminates the spiritual aspect of humans. Atheism is a very dangerous phenomenon whose advocates believe that life is only materialistic, and this is not true. Whoever reflects on man, will find that he is created of a soul and a body, and each one has its requirements.

     Ayyad pointed out that when atheists viewed life as something physical only, they lost the spiritual aspect, which is seen as a blessing from Allah, and if the spiritual aspect is absent, matter overwhelms and man becomes captive to his own desires.
