In the 20th episode of his program “Toward Proper Understanding”, broadcast on the AIRA official webpage, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy (AIRA), Dr. Nazir Ayyad, continued his talk about atheism and the approaches and techniques that could be used for confronting atheism.
The Secretary-General said that one of the most important matters that should be taken into account when refuting the atheists’ fallacies is to be moderate in raising issues and refuting them. In fact, moderation gives those who face this phenomenon a chance to know the details of the issues raised by skeptics and atheists, and the premises from which they go off.
Ayyad pointed out that a debate void of moderation is far from the rules of science and objectivity. This may give a false and unreal picture of Islam, for the technique of presentation helps achieve constructive criticism.
Finally, the Secretary-General clarified that atheists’ issues and sayings must be presented seriously, away from emotion, ridicule and mockery of opinions.
