Ethics is the Balance of Uprightness in Society but Atheists Consider it a Relative Issue, Says AIRA Secretary-General

In the 23st episode of his program “Toward Proper Understanding”, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy (AIRA), Dr. Nazir Ayyad, keeps on discussing the dangers of atheism, which may devastate everything.

The Secretary-General said that one of the dangers of atheism that may affect the individual and society is the call for intellectual and moral degeneracy. As there is a strong relationship between upright thinking and upright behavior.

Ayyad added that atheistic thought leads to devastating the intellect and upright behavior of the atheist, as it calls him to commit sins – without feeling ashamed of being abnormal. Mainly, atheism focuses on the idea that man is the master of himself, and that he can do whatever he wants without scruple or fear of punishment.

In this concern, the Secretary-General showed that ethics are the balance of uprightness, so atheists try to affirm that morals are a relative issue and not a substantial one. According to this view, one moral could be seen as right and wrong at same time, but it is against the intellectual laws and primary aim of Almighty Allah.

Finally, Ayyad pointed out that divine laws call for doing good, and refraining from evil. They urge people to do good deeds and intimidate them from committing sins so as not to be captives to their desires.
