The Secretary General of Al-Azhar Islamic Research Academy (AIRA), Dr. Nazir Muhammed Ayad, declared that the current month of Ramadan is supposed to witness a lot of awareness meetings in the villages, cities, and governorates.
These meetings are conducted according to the orders of His Eminence Grand Imam, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb, calling al-Azhar preachers to spread out for the purpose of communicating with and listening to people directly and answering their inquiries.
Additionally, His Eminence orders to conduct discussion sessions with people regarding the issues that preoccupy their minds and attract their attention. The Secretary General confirms that the plan of preachers during this blessed month aims to conduct about (111389) direct meetings with people.
Furthermore, the meetings concentrate on the importance and necessity of responsibility toward the family, society and country. They shed some light on some values such as; mercy, solidarity and cooperation, and their impact on stability of the society, as well as calling to spread out the spirit of mercy and cooperation among people.
Also, the meetings target to communicate with different levels of society and to urge them to do good works and to enhance the social interactions like giving out in charity and generosity etc. This is through showing the real impact of social solidarity and how it saves the power and safety of society against grudges, malice and envy, and calling for concepts of cooperation, mercy and tolerance among each other.
