What is the Islamic ruling regarding the Uḍḥiyah (Sacrifice)?

The majority of scholars hold the position that offering Udhiyah during Eid Al-Adha is confirmed sunnah.
It is obligatory according to Imam Abu Hanifah.
The above-mentioned rulings are applicable only to those able to afford it.
