Commenting on the conference of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs titled, “Nation Building in the Islamic Jurisprudence”

The Secretary-General of the Islamic Affairs: "This meeting is held to reinforce the true concepts which are established to build safety, stability and development of the countries. It is meant to refute the extremist ideologies which aim at causing terrorism, instability and backwardness of the countries, ultimately dismantling and destroying the states.

 

He also highlighted the role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, under the auspices of His Eminence Prof. Ahmed Aṭ-Ṭayyeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, which focuses on peaceful coexistence and sound citizenship. The Grand Imam has conducted for a number of conferences and activities to stress the importance of peaceful dialogue and peaceful coexistence.

 

The Secretary-General also showed that peaceful coexistence is based on pacifism, security, tranquility, accepting all beliefs, granting the rights of justice and preserving dignity.

 

The Holy Qur᾿ān, which represents the constitution of the Muslims, came with an explicit call to people for peaceful coexistence and closeness in this life. Allah says, "Humankind, indeed We have created you from a male and a female and made you peoples and tribes so that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous. Allah is All Knowing and All Acquainted."[ Qur᾿ān, 49:13]
