"The Prophet’s (PBUH) Guidance in Building the Family", a recent publication by Al-Azhar Islamic Research Academy (AIRA), In Cairo International Book Fair 2021.

The AIRA Media Center published "The Prophet’s (PBUH) Guidance in Building the Family". The book is presented in Al-Azhar pavilion at Cairo International Book Fair 52nd edition. This comes within the framework of the enlightening role played by Al-Azhar towards family, which is considered the first block in building societies.

Dr. Naẓīr ˁAyyād, the AIRA Secretary General, said that such book runs through the Prophet’s (PBUH) Sunnah in building the Muslim family.

He added that the Islamic Sharīˁah considers family as a group whose two main pillars (the spouses) are bound together through a legal marriage, adhere to the rights and duties along with their offspring and relatives.

The book consists of two main theses, the first is entitled: "The Prophet’s Guidance (PBUH) in building the family" by Prof. Tawfīq Muḥammad Shahīn. He discussed some topics, such as: “Marriage is the base of family in Islam”, “Taking care of the family has the priority over the process of marriage”, and “Muslim family and birth control”.

The second thesis is entitled, “Educating Young People in the Light of the Prophet’s Life”by Sheikh Manṣūr Ar-Rifāˁī ˁUbayd. The writer discusses that marriage is a human instinct and a spiritual dwelling. Then he sheds light on the spouses’ cooperation in building family, stressing that Islam rejects and prohibits deviation in behaviors, clarifying the first steps of marriage and the basis of choice.

He also talked about the dowry, then he states our responsibilities towards children, and how to bring them up, addressing the foundations for sex education, and the healthy habits in Islam.
