The Supreme Committee of Da’wah at AIRA: “1960 Da'wah Meetings in One Month Within the Activities of the Summer Plan”

The monthly report of the Supreme Committee of Da’wah at Al-Azhar Islamic Research Academy (AIRA) revealed that Al-Azhar male and female preachers conducted about 1960 da‘wah meetings during the last month, as part of the summer plan announced by the committee, along with the public awareness plan. This is according to the directives of the Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, to intensify the da‘wah programs to achieve the role of Al-Azhar and its da‘wah and awareness message.

In this context, AIRA Secretary General, Prof. Naẓīr ˁAyyād said, "The plan aimed to implement a number of da‘wah activities in a number of places, most notably: youth centers, culture palaces, social welfare homes, companies, police stations, central security camps, and prisons."

Prof. ˁAyyād added that these meetings aimed to focus on current issues that occupy people’s minds and touch their reality, including: preserving the human soul, emphasizing the importance of social solidarity and the significant efforts made by the Egyptian state concerning the “Decent Life” initiative, and the other ones launched by Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt.

Furthermore, the Secretary General clarified that the plan prepared and followed up by the Supreme Committee of Da'wah at AIRA comes within the Academy’s annual strategy and vision in the field of da‘wah, seeking to reach the largest number of people from various categories and cultures, in order to discuss the most important issues that touch their reality and constitute an important part of their daily lives.
