Al-Azhar Message Seeks to Achieve Balance in All Fields of Human Life, Said AIRA Secretary General, during Al-Azhar International Student Cup Inauguration

Dr. Naẓīr ˁAyyād, the Secretary General of Al-Azhar Islamic Research Academy (AIRA), participated in the inauguration proceedings of Al-Azhar Cup for international students. This event has been organized by the Education Development Center for Al-Azhar International Students (EDCAIS), under the patronage of the Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmed Al-Tayyeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. It was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Nahla Al-Saeedi, Head of EDCAIS , Dr. Ismail Al-Haddad, Secretary General of Al-Azhar Supreme Council, Ambassador Abdel Rahman Musa, Major General Ibrahim Al-Jarhi, Head of Al-Azhar Sector of hostels for Islamic scholarship students, a number of Al-Azhar leaders and some Ambassadors from different countries.

"Allah Almighty created man and appointed him as successor in this universe to maintain it, and made the Five Higher Objectives as the foundation of the world. These objectives consist in the preservation of: religion,  self/soul, mind, lineage/offspring, and  property, so losing all or some of them will lead to man’s failure to be the successor on earth," said the Secretary General during his speech at the inauguration.

In this context, ˁAyyād added that Islam focuses on various foundations: once one of them is disrupted, the human being structure becomes distorted. These foundations are: the doctrinal, spiritual, scientific and cognitive, moral, and physical structures, which - when healthy - will enable man to perform his mission well in this life.
