The Annual Harvest Report 2021

AIRA: 240,000 meetings were held through 40 awareness campaigns launched throughout Egypt.

- 5 important themes aimed at protecting community awareness

- Al-Azhar male and female preachers spread across various organizations and institutions on a large scale.

- Direct electronic awareness messages via social media.

     The annual harvest of achievements report of the Media Center of Al-Azhar Islamic Research Academy (AIRA) announced implementing 240,000 meetings through awareness campaigns this year 2021.

      These awareness campaigns – about 40 in number - aimed at handling many intellectual issues and societal problems.

     These achievements come in accordance with the directives of the Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, in order to raise awareness and establish constant communication with people where they are.

     In this context, Dr. Nazir Ayyad, the AIRA Secretary General, said that these campaigns aimed to communicate with various groups and segments of the society to make them aware of the issues and problems representing a challenge that impedes the development of the society and adds to its suffering now.

     These campaigns have several main themes, the first of which is social solidarity. The most important campaigns launched within this theme are: “30 Days of Benevolence,” “Save Them the Humiliation of Begging,” “By Them We Have Mercy,” and “Allah Created You from One Soul.”

     Ayyad added that the second theme focused on supporting the sustainable development efforts of Egypt. The theme aimed at increasing people’s awareness of the societal and patriotic values so that it may reflect positively on achieving societal peace.

     The third theme tackled the issue of building excellent role models since they play an important role in building positive characters in society. The most important campaigns within this theme are: “An Excellent Role Model,” “Read and Rise,” “Vision of Reality and Foreseeing the Future,” and “Natural Intuition and Upright Society.”

     The Secretary General showed that the fourth theme of this awareness strategy aimed at confronting the Coronavirus crisis and preserving lives as well as the environment. The most important campaigns are: “Neglect Is a Sin So Avoid It,” “Do not Spread Corruption on the Earth After Its Reformation,” and “Water is Life.”

     Finally, the fifth theme revolved around the Egyptian family. It aimed at highlighting the role of the family in the proper upbringing of its children. The family makes use of sound social principles based on affection and mercy among its members in order for them to be positive members in the society.

     The most important campaigns of this theme are: “Make Things Easy and Do Not Neglect,” “The Almighty Placed Affection and Mercy among You,” “Preserve Them,” and “Good Manners Are Part of Religion.”
