On the anniversary of Isra’ and Mi'raj:

Ordeal and Will, an Awareness Campaign Launched by AIRA in Egypt Governorates

The Islamic Research Academy (AIRA) launches a comprehensive awareness campaign that coincides with the anniversary of Isra’ (Night Journey) and Mi’raj (Ascension to Heaven).

This comes in accordance with the directives of the Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, to intensify Dawah and awareness-raising efforts, especially in religious seasons.

In this context, AIRA Secretary General, Dr. Nazir Ayyad said that the activities of this campaign come in response to the Academy’s strategy for raising societal awareness and constant work to benefit from religious and societal occasions in order to spread awareness among people. This is to be achieved through drawing practical lessons of those occasions, and applying them to our life to achieve the safety and stability of society.

Ayyad added that the campaign focuses on several lessons and morals. The most important ones are how to follow the example of the Prophet (PBUH) in one’s speech, acts and behavior, especially at the time of ordeals, and how to overcome those ordeals with patience, strong faith, and the adoption of means to reach ends.

Finally, the Secretary General indicated that the campaign program highlights the importance of Islamic sanctities, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque, and emphasizes the Arab identity of Palestine. In addition, a set of messages addressed the youth to help them realize the great sacrifice of the Prophet (PBUH) and his Companions in order to convey the message of Islam and spread peace among people.
