Al-Azhar preachers have participated in joint Dawah missions organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Endowments, under the generous patronage of the Grand Imam, Prof.  Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, and His Eminence the Minister of Endowments, Prof.  Muhammad Mukhtar Gomaa. These missions target the governorates of Cairo, North Sinai, Aswan and Beheira, where each mission includes 10 scholars.

Dr. Nazir Ayyad, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy (AIRA), said that these joint missions are the outcome of cooperation between Al-Azhar and the Endowments to discuss an important theme related to faith and moral aspects of fasting. The missions help a Muslim rise to such an important moral level, make his manners and positive behavior a mirror that reflects his personality, and be a role model for others in his society.

The Secretary-General added that such joint Dawah missions emphasize the awareness of Egyptian religious institutions of the importance of Dawah in people's lives. They also highlight the importance of their results at the social and national levels, especially as they aim to restore the moral values among people. In addition, they spread awareness of correct concepts among people and protect them from any misunderstanding that might pollute their minds.
