“Decency is a Priority”- Awareness Campaign Launched by AIRA to Spread Virtue and Face Vice
Al-Azhar Islamic Research Academy (AIRA) launches a comprehensive awareness campaign in all governorates of the Republic entitled: “Decency is a Priority”. This campaign is in accordance with the directives of the Grand Imam, Prof. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, to intensify direct awareness campaigns run by male and female preachers in a way that is reflected positively in achieving societal peace, spreading virtues and positive and good values among people, and confronting moral deviation in society.
AIRA Secretary-General, Dr. Nazir Ayyad, said that the campaign comes within the framework of Al-Azhar efforts to preserve and protect Egyptian society from all attempts to undermine its security and stability.
The campaign aims to treat people's issues and engage in the challenges that hinder the development process and prevent the spread of human values and virtues among people, especially at a time when the society suffers from some problems and deviant behavior as a result of the spread of some bad morals and negative ideas.
The Secretary-General added that Al-Azhar male and female preachers will participate in the campaign that will last for two weeks by having direct contact with people in their various places. In addition, the events will be broadcast on the Academy Social Media websites.
