The Statement of Al-Azhar Observer on the Terrorist Bombings of the Two Orthodox Churches in Egypt

Al-Azhar Observer in Foreign Languages condemns the heinous and cowardly terrorist attacks on St. George’s in Tanta and St. Mark’s Cathedral in Alexandria, which left 44 killed and 126 injured.

Reiterating its long-standing positions on rejecting such criminal acts that target the innocent unarmed  civilians, especially our brothers in homeland; the Observer affirms that such malicious terrorist attacks targeting our dear brothers from among the Christians have nothing to do with Islam, and they are in contradiction with the teachings of all the heavenly religions that all urge for mercy, tolerance and peaceful coexistence among people all over the world.

The Observer expresses its deepest sympathy and condolences to  the victims’ families, invoking Allah, Glory be to Him, to bestow patience and solace upon their families, wishing meanwhile a speedy and full recovery to the injured.
