Al-Azhar al-Sharif condemns the terrorist attack in Lyon, France

Al-Azhar al-Sharif condemns the terrorist attack which targeted a gas factory near Lyon, central east France, killed one and injured another.

Al-Azhar renews its denunciation of all the criminal operations perpetrated by ISIS and all other terrorist organizations all over the world affirming that Islam underlines the right of all people, regardless of their religion, color, gender and language, to live in peace and that the Prophet of Islam is the prophet of mercy and tolerance. In addition, Islam is innocent from all acts of killing, explosion and slaughter exercised by the terrorist movements.

Al-Azhar calls upon the international community to exert all efforts for uprooting this terrorist organization using all possible means and powers in order to protect the world from its evils and crimes.

Moreover, Al-Azhar affirms what His Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Sheikh Ahmad al-Tayyeb has repeatedly warned against that the dangers posed by such terrorist organizations will not be restricted to the Muslim countries, but they will extend to Europe, America and all over the world in case the international community continues to fail to combat it. The aggressive terrorism will not come to an end except through hard working for combating and uprooting such terrorist organizations.
