Muslim Council of Elders headed by his Eminence Prof Dr Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Al-Azhar Grand Imam condemned the terrorist attack on the Imam Al-Sadiq Shiite mosque in Al-Sawaber in the east of the Kuwaiti capital, which killed some and injured others.
In this regard, the Council put emphasis on the dire need of the Arab and Muslim worlds to unite and cooperate to resist this monster that terrorizes and sheds the bloods of the innocent under the motto of religion, while all laws, religions and humanitarian values are innocent from these criminal acts.
The Council stresses also the necessity of adopting new methodologies as well as the importance of openness to the unbiased scholars, researchers and intellectuals to reinforce dialogue and foster tolerance among the whole members of the Ummah, irrespective of the ideological and doctrinal affiliations.
Muslim Council of Elders called upon eliminating violence and violating souls and properties, as well as defusing tension and ending fights that have haunted the society, in order for the Ummah to recover and eliminate this aggressive terrorism, which recognizes no religion or home.
Muslim Council of Elders sincerely offers condolence to the leadership and people of Kuwait for the victims of this terrorist attack, invoking to Allah, the Almighty to shower them with His Mercy, and to make them keep patient; we also ask Him, the Almighty, a speedy recovery for the injured.
