"Together for Egypt" Conference Resumes its Activities

"Together for Egypt" conference, currently held at the Episcopal Anglican Church in Zamalek and organized by the religious discourse committee affiliated to the House of the Egyptian Family, resumes its activities. 

Dr. Mohie Ed-deen Afifi, the general secretary of the Islamic Research Academy (IRA), Bishop Mouneer Hanna Anas, the archbishop of the Episcopal / Anglican Church in Egypt & North Africa, Bishop Yohanna Kolta, the vice-patriarch of the Catholic Church in Egypt and Dr Mohamed Gemai'a; the coordinator of the House of the Egyptian Family, participated in the conference. The conference was also attended by a number of imams and priests from the House of the Egyptian Family. 
In his speech, Dr. Afifi stressed the importance of peaceful coexistence and renouncing violence and extremism in any shape or form as stipulated and recommended in all heavenly religions. 
He also reiterated the importance of focusing on common grounds between Muslims and Christians; emphasizing that our similarities outnumber our differences. Therefore, Muslims and Christians should work hand in hand to coexist, work and protect our nations from extremism and terrorism.
