The Grand Imam of Al – Azhar, Prof Ahmed Al Tayyib received today Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Adam, Somalia finance minister, who gave him a summary for The political, economic and security situation in Somalia.
The Somali minister expressed his country's deep need to increase cultural and religious cooperation with Al-Azhar, especially they are Muslim country. adding, there are four big cities in Somalia which is perfectly safe, and in an urgent need to Al - Azhar medical convoys.
His eminence, welcomed the minister, saying Al – Azhar tries to meat the needs of the State of Somalia and All Muslims around the world.
At the end of the meeting, It was agreed to form a committee from Somalia embassy in Cairo to meet prof, Abdel Dayem Nosayer, the educational adviser of the grand sheikh, to coordinate the convoys and scholarships for Somali students in both of Al – Azhar university and institutes.
