The Grand Imam. Dr. Ahmed al-Tayyeb, Sheikh Al-Azhar received Mr. Warren Perec, Kazakhstan's ambassador in Cairo, The meeting discussed Method of supporting the Cultural, religious and scientific fields between Al – Azhar and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Talks included Al – Azhar Scholarships to the Kazakhstan students, which has a 65% of its Muslim population. Also, provided Al – Azhar support to The University of Noor Mubarak.
The Grand Imam decided to increase Scholarships for students of Kazakhstan to twenty. Stressing that, those students are ambassadors for Azhar, in their country and they should explain to the people the tolerance of Islam.
