The Grand Imam Dr. Ahmad Al - Tayyeb, Sheikh Al-Azhar received H.E. Wedady Weld Seedy Heiba , ambassador of Mauritania in Cairo. During their meeting, they discussed means of cooperation between Al-Azhar and Mauritania in cultural, religious and educational fields.
H.E. the ambassador expressed the appreciation of his nation, government and people to Al-Azhar and the Grand Imam hoping that Al - Azhar can increase the scholarships for Mauritanian students and preparing a training program for imams.
The Grand Imam expressed Al-Azhar readiness to increase the scholarships for Mauritanian students to study at the faculties of Al-Azhar and institutes, in addition to contributing in training Mauritanian imams to be able to confront today's challenges and handle current issues facing the Arab and Muslim nations.
