The Grand mam of Al-Azhar consoles the Pope of Vatican for the death of Cardinal Tauran, the president of the Pontifical Council for Interfaith Dialogue

     The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof Ahmed el-Tayeb sent today, Friday, a letter of condolence s to His Holiness Pope Francis, the Pope of Vatican for the death of Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, the President of the Pontifical Council for Interfaith Dialogue, who died at the age of 75.
The Grand Imam has expressed his sincere condolences to Pope Francis, confirming that the late cardinal made major contributions to promoting interfaith dialogue, and strengthening the culture of mutual understanding. The Grand Imam also extended his condolences to the cardinal’s family.
