Al-Azhar Al-Sharif strongly condemns the terrorist blast that targeted a public market in the “Sadr City”, east of Baghdad, leaving at least 8 dead and 15 other injured.
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif asserts that the perpetrators of such terrorist attacks are stripped of their humanity as they did not respect the sanctity of blood or the holy month of Ramadan, affirming meanwhile that all divine laws totally reject targeting innocent people.
Al-Azhar furthermore offers its sincere solace to the victims’ families, invoking Allah, the Almighty, to shower the dead with His Infinite Mercy, to grant patience to their relatives and to grant speedy recovery to the injured.
