Al-Azhar Al-Sharif strongly condemns the terrorist bombing that targeted a mosque in the east of Baghdad during Friday Prayer, leaving 4, at least, dead and more than 20 others injured.
Al-Azhar asserts that targeting innocent people and places of worship is denounced by all heavenly religions and human values, confirming meanwhile that the perpetrators are stripped of all the meanings of humanity.
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif offers its sincere solace to the Iraqi president, government, people and the victims’ families, wishing speedy recovery for the injured.
