Al-Azhar observatory for combating extremism strongly condemns the terrorist attack that took place in Bir al-Abd city, North Sinai, Thursday, and resulted in the martyrdom of 10 heroes of the Egyptian Armed Forces, including an officer and a non-commissioned officer.
Meanwhile, the observatory stresses that this bloody terrorism, which violates the principles of Islamic Shariah and the sanctity of such holy month by committing acts of meanness, would not undermine the Egyptian state that seeks to set the record straight in one of its most precious pieces of lands.
The observatory also affirms that the Egyptian Armed Forces will remain the protective shield for Egypt against this dastardly act of terrorism, calling the Egyptian people to stand behind their leaders, armed forces and police service for confronting this grave threat and uprooting it.
