The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, is woefully following up the consequences of Beirut explosion, which has appalled the whole world and resulted in killing dozens and wounding thousands in a heart-breaking scene. In the face of this humanitarian disaster, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif expresses its full solidarity with Lebanon and calls all Arab and Islamic nations to promote solidarity and to help Lebanon overcome this disaster along with its serious repercussions. Moreover, Al-Azhar urges all Lebanese to unify to overcome this critical stage. Al-Azhar Al-Sharif meanwhile expresses its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured and asking Allah to grant Lebanon security, stability and prosperity.
