The Grand Imam: Burning the Quran provokes feelings of hatred and undermines interfaith dialogue outcomes

Those who dared to commit the crime of burning a copy of the Qur’an should know that such crimes are but forms of barbaric terrorism and blatant racism totally rejected by all human civilizations, since they fuel the flames of terrorism from which the East and the West suffer. These appalling crimes undoubtedly incite hatred, undermine security of societies and threaten hopes promoted by interfaith dialogue.
Those people should realize that burning a copy of the Qur’an means burning the emotions of about two billion Muslims around the world, and that human history will keep these crimes in the records of shame and dishonor.
