Under the directives of his Eminence the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Prof. Ahmed Al-Taiyeb, the biggest emergency aid convoy heads to Gaza Strip as a gesture of solidarity with our brothers in Gaza suffering under the vicious attack by the Zionist occupation for almost one week and half.
A group of Al-Azhar senior leaders including Deputy of Al-Azhar, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Al-Rahman Al-Doweiny; President of Al-Azhar University, Prof. Mohammad Al-Mahrsawy, and the Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy Prof. Nazir Ayyad witnessed the launch of the convey.
Al-Azhar is known for its historic role and continual support for the issues and causes of the Arab and Muslim Nation. Noteworthy to mention that the convoy carries about 150 tons of nutritional, medical aid supplies to Gaza.
