Al-Azhar Observatory launches a new media campaign against attacking the places of worship

Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism lunches today a new media campaign consisting of 12 video clips in 12 languages. The videos highlight and analyze the dangerous phenomenon of attacking the places of worship and how they impact individuals' right to worship.
The Observatory has previously issued many studies and reports on these inhumane attacks that stir up strife and threaten the peace and security of societies. The Observatory's latest book entitled "The Attacks on Places of Worship," which addresses this phenomenon and analyzes its dangerous dimensions for societies, will be made available at the upcoming Cairo International Book Fair event.
The Observatory confirms that its written and visual published works are nothing but an expression of Al-Azhar’s clear position that rejects such crimes which contradict the provisions of the Human Fraternity Document that stresses the need to protect all places of worship, and considers targeting them an explicit departure from religious teachings, human values and international conventions.
