The Grand Imam receives an official invitation to attend the Summit of Religious Leaders on Climate Change

The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Prof. Ahmed Al-Tayeb has received an official invitation to attend the Summit of Religious Leaders on Climate Change, organized by the British government in Rome and scheduled to take place in October. The Summit will be attended by prominent religious and political figures from around the world.
The Grand Imam welcomed the British government’s invitation to religious leaders to discuss climate change, noting that this is a very important step, and that there are religious leaders who have talked a lot about the need to protect the environment.
During his meeting with Sir Geoffrey Adams, the British ambassador to Egypt, the Grand Imam said that religions teach mainly about preserving the universe and the environment, and that the Holy Quran is full of verses that confirm that all beings, whether humans, plants, animals or inanimate objects, give praise to God.
