Today, June 20, marks the InternationalRefugeeDay. Al-Azhar Al-Sharif calls on all the world's countries, on this occasion, to give due attention to the refugee issue, with the aim of bringing it to an end.
Al-Azhar meanwhile reminds the world of the issue of the Palestinian refugees - the oldest in modern times -, those who have been unjustly expelled from their homes and lands by force and terrorism, and demands the entire world to support the Palestinian refugees in their humanitarian and just cause and to help them get back safely and securely to their homes against the will of the usurping occupying Power and its supporters.
Al-Azhar furthermore demands the international community to exert more efforts to settle the issue of the refugees and to address its causes, especially in this era when materialism and avarice have entrenched into the hearts and minds of people in a manner that makes them neglect human rights.
