Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism (AOCE) received today, Monday, August 23, the Foreign Minister of Serbia "Nikola Silakovic" and his accompanying delegation who paid a visit to the Observatory to learn about its efforts in combating terrorism and extremism and refuting the destructive thoughts adopted by radical groups, so as to educate young people about their dangers.
During the visit, AOCE, with its 13 departments, reviewed its conducted studies, published reports, launched campaigns and printed books that critically and analytically addressed the extremist thought to highlight its risks to young people, which contributes greatly to protect them from falling prey to such deviant ideologies.
At the end of the visit, the Minister expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif as represented by AOCE with all its different departments in combating extremist ideologies and countering groups that adopt such destructive ideologies.
