Patriotic Heroes vs Radical Traitors

The victory of the Sixth of October 1973, the greatest living memory in the modern history of Egypt, will remain an epic where the brave soldiers of the Armed Forces set an example of courage, steadfastness and determination to regain land and restore dignity. History will glorify the names of heroes of the October War, who took their lives in their hands as a sacrifice for Egypt, so that this heroic memory would remain in the hearts and minds of those who lived through it and those who did not.   One of the most important factors for the success of the October War was the heroic role played by the patriotic leaders and soldiers of the Armed Forces at that time as they had so much love for their country and were willing to sacrifice their souls for the sake of defending their land and fellow citizens. On the other hand, at the present time there are those radical enemies of the homeland, who seek to undermine the security of our state and thwart its progress.

The mind rejects the actions of those who betray the country where they were born and grew up, and is at shock of those whose state has provided them with health, educational and social services only to meet this with hostility and ingratitude. Terrorism threatens people in all countries, and protecting and defending homelands is not only limited to confronting foreign aggression, but also includes combating all forms of extremist behavior and radical ideologies.

Love of homeland is a natural human tendency that Islam has endorsed, and made one of the foundations of building societies and a good deed that merits reward. This love should not be confined to feelings and emotions, but must rather be reflected in positive behavior beneficial for every fellow citizen and helpful for the progress and prosperity of the nation.
