The official website of Prof. Ahmed al-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam of al-Azhar, was launched on Friday with an aim to serve researchers, scholars and the public, and to make available audiovisual and text documentations of the contributions and biography of the Grand Imam. The launch of the website was announced on Friday during al-Azhar's Mosque annual ceremony that marked 1082nd anniversary of the Mosque's inauguration.
The new website includes various sections that contain the biography of al-Tayyeb and his academic journey, starting from joining the Isnaa Religious Institute of al-Azhar till obtaining the PhD degree from al-Azhar University and his gradation in positions until he assumed his office at the Sheikhdom of al-Azhar.
The website also features the Grand Imam's practical and scholarly efforts, speeches on various occasions at different conferences and international forums, television shows, visits and meetings with officials and public figures. The Imam's website also contains the historical documents of al-Azhar and reports on the scholarly and research centers that the Grand Imam undertook or contributed to their foundation and the humanitarian and outstanding stances taken by the Grand Imam.
