Al-Azhar Al-Sharif strongly condemns the terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in Herat, Western Afghanistan and that resulted in scores of death and injuries.
Al-Azhar meanwhile stresses that targeting houses of worship is a vicious crime rejected by all religions and human values, and thus calls upon the international community and Islamic nations to intensify their efforts to eliminate terrorism and overcome terrorist groups.
On its part, Al-Azhar extends its sincere condolences to the Afghani people and the families of the victims, supplicating the Almighty Allah to shower the deceased with His Mercy and grant the injured a speedy recovery.
