Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism Receives an American Diplomatic Delegation

Dr. Riham Salamah, AOCE executive director, received Monday September 26, 2022 an American diplomatic delegation that paid a visit to Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism to identify its efforts in refuting the misconceptions and allegations promulgated by the terrorist groups and organizations.
During the meeting, Dr. Salamah explained the mechanism adopted by AOCE in protecting youth from falling prey to these destructive, deviated ideologies. "The AOCE is made up of 13 units, with each working with one particular language. Our produce covers a myriad of topics including extremism, refugees and hate speech, as well as issuing recommendations on how to address thorny issues facing Muslims in some European countries," said Salamah.
Following the meeting, the delegation expressed admiration for the efforts exerted by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif under the leadership of his eminence Prof. Ahmed Al-Tayeb in resisting hate speech and extremist ideologies that stir up violence and terrorism around the world.
