The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar stresses that Eid Al-Adha is a great opportunity to get closer to Allah and thank Him for His favors
On the occasion of celebrating the blessed Eid Al-Adha, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Prof. Ahmad Al-Ṭayyib, extends his sincere congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, and the Muslim and Arab nations, including: kings, presidents, princes, and peoples, asking the Almighty to bring this great occasion back for the Muslim nation and humanity as a whole with goodness, security, peace, prosperity, and blessings.
The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar emphasizes that Eid Al-Adha is a great opportunity to get closer to Allah and thank Him for His favors. In the meanwhile, H. E. the Grand Imam calls all Muslims all over the world to celebrate this blessed occasion by glorifying the rituals of Allah, getting closer to Him through acts of obedience and worship, and good deeds, extending a helping hand to the poor and needy, and promoting noble values that call for love, compassion, fraternity, coexistence, and solidarity among all. The Grand Imam calls for taking advantage of such opportunities to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of the needy, visit relatives, check on and visit the sick, exchange congratulations with friends, and instill those values in the minds and hearts of children and youth.
